Inclusive teaching materials
Example of an inclusive arrangement of the song This Is Christmas created to be performed by Warmley Park Open Orchestra. The different parts are adapted for diferent levels of skills and cognition, using the 'Sounds Of Intent' framework. The scores are re-imagined and adapted for the diverse musician's needs.
Example of Open Orchestra Sea Sketches
Piece with three different sections. Instruments included are drums and percussion, piano, guitar, vocals and clarion. This piece works with the musical elements of time, pitch and dynamics, as well as structure and arrangement.
Examples of work with SEND and SEMH students at an alternative provision
JT worked with us on his last GCSE year, after struggling to attend school and focusing on his studies.
We worked on his music GCSE compositions and performance. At the end of his school year he got an A on his submissions, and was offered a place at college to continue studying music.
AG worked with us for a whole school year.
We practised singing songs, playing instruments and creating beats. AG did a great job developing his skills and expressing through the music he loved.
